Steinberg Halion 3 Cracked
If I was the owner of a studio that ran Nuendo or Cubase I would be very pleased with the success of the Syncrosoft dongle. It means that the only serious competition in the neighbourhood is serious studios with their own fully licenced versions of Nuendo, Cubase or ProTools.
Here in Asia piracy is absolutely rampant. And because our company also does video and graphic work, I would be delighted if Sony and Adobe started putting iLok on Vegas and CS3 respectively. It would keep out the amateurs who do nothing but cause unfair competition to the professionals.
That alone is a strong business case for copy protection of some form. A working, uncracked dongle actually protects the investment of the user, by stopping all the little script kiddies from competing with you without the same capital investment and working overheads Obviously hobbyists and weekend warriors don't see this argument. OK, no problem. But it's pretty easy to see that on this forum and in this thread there are quite a few users who, 'cough', don't have a manual. A two tier strategy Perhaps Cakewalk would get more respect in pro circles if they left Home Studio and Guitar Studio as they are, but copy protected SONAR like a real professional application, with either Syncrosoft or iLok. I really can't see the professional studio owners objecting to this as they will already be using those systems. However Cakewalk aim at the domestic end of the market first, so that would be a major policy change for them.

But let's be honest - I bet that most of the weekend warriors could easily get away with Home Studio and don't even come close to using the full facilities of SONAR. A quick trip through the songs forum tells me that - despite all the compositional and playing talent here - most of the weekend warriors don't have acoustically treated rooms, few have really good monitors, and a select few don't even have ears. SONAR is complete overkill in these cases.
SONAR's a great product. It's a third of the price of Nuendo and more technologically advanced. SONAR 8's sound quality is finally up there with the big boys too. It's a shame that it's being distributed for free on warez sites and that Cakewalk aren't getting any revenue from that. Yes, but with respect, none of those points relate to copy protection.
I don't think a client cares how well protected an app is. Only that it functions correctly. Lets face it a hell of a lot of money that could have gone into development was spent by Steinberg when they bought out Syncrosoft.
More and more of YOUR money is being spent to stop someone you will probably never meet or will probably never make money out of these, let's not forget PRO products. I don't care who is pirating software as long as I get what I pay for. ROFLMAO - As a 'weekend warrior' that is one of the most patronizing and nonsensical statements I've read in a long time. Gta san andreas full indir tek link. Maybe people shouldn't be using MS Word unless they're writing a novel either?
Talk about being up one's self. ORIGINAL: Paul Russell It's not just the app, it's the existing investment in training and infrastructure, local availability of trained staff and customer expectations, that dictate what software a studio might support. By following your logic.
I can assume that you have a large and skilled talent pool to select from (the rampant pirates you say are common in your locale). You can parlay your investment by leveraging all that experience and having them work for you. Instead of worrying about other people's unfair advantage to your business I suggest you focus on capitalizing on the oppurtunties that are present to YOU! Where I live and work I think maybe two other people use SONAR.
